For posterity's sake

I love blogging because I suck at writing in my journal.

Almost every single entry in my journal starts along these lines:

"I'm really sorry that I haven't written in a while...."

"Life has been  really busy....."

"I swear that I will be better at writing...." 

....Embarrassing.

The good news is that I was born in a a time and place where I can document my life in social media. 

So for posterity's sake, here are some windows into my life,

Oh yea, So Halloween happened. I was working Halloween night (bummer). But I went to Cornbelly's for the first time in YEARS. So nostalgic.  #corncops 

My family had this CUTEST Halloween party.

cooking: barely. 

drinking: Paradise Diet Coke from Swig. 

wanting: to be at Disneyland 

looking: at buying colored tights. 

playing: phone tag with a friend

wasting: time. always wasting too much time. 

wishing: it was 

eating: chocolate covered raisins

enjoying: the Provo student life. 

reading: What Southern Women know about Flirting, and soooo many geography textbooks 

waiting: for thanksgiving break 

liking: boys. sweet boys. and spending weekends with my family. 

wondering: if this is a prompting? Or just a crazy idea? 

loving: this. smells so good and its great for my dry dry dry skin. 

hoping: for a little holiday magic. 

needing: a warm vacation in Costa Rica, or Disneyland. Either would be fine. 

wearing: my black skinnies and steve maddens..... everyday. 

following: Miranda Sings on twitter 

knowing: too much about erosion and climate changes.... 

noticing: its all in my head.

Hermana Roundy came back!

On my mission, one of my favorite jokes was mimicking Rose from Titanic,

desperately calling for the rescue boat to save her

"Come Back!" 

I can't exactly remember how, but quickly, "come back" quite often became 

"Hermana Roundy, come back"

I love Hna Roundy

She is one of the kindest, 

most loving,

most dedicated,

obedient,

incredible missionaries I have ever met. 

She taught me everything I knew about an area book,

and she ROCKS at writing in her journal, and hand written notes,

She lookes good EVERYDAY

and does not have mean bone in her body.

She was also sweet enough to share her easter with us. 

This weekend, HERMANA ROUNDY CAME BACK!

I think it was one of those things that I didnt realize how much I had missed her until I was with her again.

First off, she ROCKED her homecoming talk. 

I was totally tearing up, the spirit was SO STRONG.

Then, Hermana Bay and Hermana Roundy had a tender reunion.

Hermana Bay almost plowed the "gentleman caller" that was anxiously awaiting to congradulate Hermana Roundy

(they couldn't help but hold hands... so tender)

We got to meet the Roundy's. They are as adorable as I imagined.

 Reunited and it felt so good! 

Thanks for changing my mission and life Hermana Roundy! 

Tradition: The grotto

I LOVE fall. 

Right? Who doesn't. 

It was honestly a little hard for me being in Costa Rica this time last year, 

I missed fall SO MUCH! 

Crisp mornings,

 boots,

berry colored lipstick

pumpkins

pumpkin flavored everything

corn mazes 

the works.

One of my favorite fall time activities is visiting The Grotto up Payson Canyon. 

When my parents  got married they went up Payson Canyon every year

to commemorate their "first letter" anniversary. 

(I'll have to tell you the story sometime) 

The Grotto  is a great choice for out family.

We call it a "hike" 

but it's totally a nature walk. 

They even have bridges designed to look like logs

that criss-cross across the river leading up to the waterfall.

We LOVE to see the colors change,

and we always get Black Jack Pizza

Its a great time.

This weekend we got the chance to go again,

and I loooooved it.

Also , we are admited "posers"
