Dear Diary,

A lot has happened since I wrote last. Its been a really great couple of weeks, but I can't believe that November is over. Where did the time go? 

Here are some exciting highlights of the last few weeks: 

First of all, this had me giggling for about 3 minutes straight.

This is how I felt about 3 weeks ago. It was a crazy busy weeks. 

3 tests, 2 large papers and about 102840983 small assignments all due the same week.

There has never been a truer meme:

The little Apple of my eye got married before thanksgiving. I am so happy for her! 

She was the silliest bride ever. Love this girl. 

New life motto: 

Kaylie came to spend a the night last week. 

It was great because we finally are old enough to tell ourselves to go to bed on time

She forgot a blanket, and slept in my Harry Potter snuggie

when she woke up, she exclaimed :

"On no! Did I fall asleep in my robes again?"

And now for the necklace, THIS neckalce. 

When I first saw it my heart sang. 

Spending last Christmas in Costa Rica it didn't really feel like Christmas at all!

It was warm! I didn't have my family! 

So obviously I have to make up for it this year with double the Christmas cheer.

Hense, why I NEEDED this necklace

suuuuure, kinda pricey for a necklace you can only wear one time a year,

but I had DOUBLE the Christmas cheer to make up for.

Brianne, Lauren and Claudia wouldnt let me get it (rude).

But I went back a couple of days later and Kaylie gave me premission. SO THERE. 

School is fine, work is fine, boys are... fine.

Tradition: The grotto

I LOVE fall. 

Right? Who doesn't. 

It was honestly a little hard for me being in Costa Rica this time last year, 

I missed fall SO MUCH! 

Crisp mornings,

 boots,

berry colored lipstick

pumpkins

pumpkin flavored everything

corn mazes 

the works.

One of my favorite fall time activities is visiting The Grotto up Payson Canyon. 

When my parents  got married they went up Payson Canyon every year

to commemorate their "first letter" anniversary. 

(I'll have to tell you the story sometime) 

The Grotto  is a great choice for out family.

We call it a "hike" 

but it's totally a nature walk. 

They even have bridges designed to look like logs

that criss-cross across the river leading up to the waterfall.

We LOVE to see the colors change,

and we always get Black Jack Pizza

Its a great time.

This weekend we got the chance to go again,

and I loooooved it.

Also , we are admited "posers"

Road trippin' buds and Idaho spuds

This last week was crazy. 

I have been struggling to find balance since coming home and starting school.

Between a new major, a new job, new roommates, 

and trying to stay up with new habits like scripture study, temple attendance,

staying social, getting good grades,

last week it all just sort of caught up with me. 

I was honestly a little worried when some of my mission friends suggested we go to Boise 

for Hna Boer's homecoming talk. 

The truth is, I knew Hna Boer, but not that well.

I worried that I would loose sleep, and come home feeling more stressed then when I left,

but my yellow personality just couldn't resist it. 

It seemed like the whole universe was against me going.

Lots of homework,

really tired,

scheduled to work

a test I was worried I wouldn't get done in time 

Dayna was born and Cristina got really sick

so on, and so forth

But Saturday morning we were Boise bound. 

I started the trip off joking (but also serious) that if you had told me a month ago (let alone on my mission) that one day I would have gone on a road trip with Hna Tippets  Elders Brackett, Fearn, 

Lundberg and  Burgeson,  I would have laughed. 

Most of them I barely even knew on my mission.

But out random, little group packed into the explorer and we were off. 

The next 48 hours flew by so quickly. 

We saw a little of this.

We laughed. A LOT.

Good friend moves. 

Bad friend moves.

Deep talks.

Wilson recited poetry

Chismes. So much cheese.

And some of the most genuine compliments ever. 

Idaho was flatter and... uglier than I expected.

I literally almost stepped on this dogs head on the way down the stairs.
